Sage began producing sports cards in 1999. A small company founding in 1998 to produce high quality but very limited cards. Sage produces the first football cards of the year by releasing a set just before or after the NFL draft. The players are all college players expected to either be drafted or make an NFL team via free agency. Sage includes more autographs in their packs than any other company. Focusing mainly on autographs and rookie cards, Sage has set a standard of quality that is hard to beat.

Sage is currently producing only 2 sets per year, Sage Hit and Sage Autographs. Keeping their costs down but the collectors interest up has always been a main focus of Sage. Keeping costs down does not mean they produce top notch cards. Sage is easily one of the best brands to collect.
