Cards / Authenticated Ink Penny Cards
« on: May 09, 2013, 01:53:25 am »
I recently purchased three Authenticated Ink Penny cards.  These cards are standard size, in black & white, with a picture on the front and a penny inserted into the lower half of the card.  The backs are blank.  I have two Tom Landry cards and one Roger Staubach card.  Does anyone have any information on these cards?  I will try and post pictures later.

It's Now Official, The 2009 Draft Class For The Cowboys Is A Bust.  When Victory Butler signed a two year deal with the Saints, he became the last player still on the roster from the 2009 draft class and officially make that draft class a bust.  We all knew it already was a bust, but Butler and Phillips leaving finished it.

General Discussion / How High Will Our Draft Pick Be In 2013?
« on: November 23, 2012, 12:58:23 pm »
Do you guys want to start talking about our draft pick for 2013?  After the flop with the deadskins we might as well!  You know your team is bad, when your arch rival takes pity on you and does not score another TD at the end of the game when they could have very easily!

I am glad that Dwayne Harris is getting a chance to show what he can do and that Beasly guy is not to bad either.

News / Cowboys Win In OT
« on: November 19, 2012, 12:10:28 pm »
This was another ugly win, but ugly or not it is still a win.  In this game, I actually felt sorry for Romo.  He looked like David Carr of the Texans in his first year.  He was on his back almost as much as on his feet.  Anyone know what is the record for the quarterback sacked the most in one year?  If I was Romo, I might have look at Jerry in his box seat, pointed at him and gave him the finger for the offense line he provided for my protection.

A bright spot in the game was Dez Bryant, he and Romo were reading the same book and page for a change.

It is being reported by both CBS Sports and the Dallas Cowboys website that Sean Lee will be going to IR due to the toe injury he sustained in the Panthers game. :'( :-\

News / Panthers Win, Ugly, But A Win None The Less
« on: October 22, 2012, 09:46:57 am »
Well it was ugly, but a win is still a win.  The Boys are back at .500 for now, at least until the G-men come to town next Sunday.  I hope Sean Lee is ok for Sundays game.  Also for all of the money & high draft picks Jerry has sunk into the secondary, you would think they would have more than ONE (1) interception.  Any comments or consulations?

News / What Nothing To Say?
« on: October 02, 2012, 12:40:25 pm »
What nothing to say?  Well I don't blame you, what a turd of a game (to para phrase Don Meredith).  With all of the talk of Romo & Witten getting close to setting some team records, has anyone checked to see if Romo has set the team record for interceptions yet?

News / For You Ryan Leaf Fans...
« on: June 21, 2012, 10:21:28 am »
For you Ryan Leaf fans, some bad news.  The state of Montana is sending Leaf away for 5 years:
Ryan Leaf sentenced to five years on felony drug, burglary charges
At the end of March and the beginning of April, former No. 2 pick Ryan Leaf was arrested twice in a two-day span on separate burglary and drug charges.

In May, he pleaded guilty to a number of those charges, and now, he officially will serve a five-year sentence with the Montana Department of Corrections with at least 15 months spent in treatment facilities. The Great Falls Tribune writes that the rest of his sentence likely will include supervised community release.

More from the paper, where Leaf made a compelling statement to the court Tuesday.

Leaf said that he had caused a lot of pain to his family and his voice broke when he talked about what his recent behavior had caused them.

"They believe I've held them for ransom for 36 years, and I don't know why I should have to do that any more," he later said.

Leaf said he didn't want to undermine his attorney, who asked the judge to impose a sentence free of jail time, and said: "Five to ten years of Ryan-free drama for this community -- particularly for this nation -- would be pure bliss," he said.

"I'm lazy and dishonest and selfish," he later said. "These were behaviors I had before my addiction kicked in."

Hopefully for Leaf's sake, his mandated treatment will help him once he becomes a free man -- and will continue to help him for the rest of his life.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, "just because you have a piece of paper from a collage or university, it does not mean you are smart".

Cowboys memorabilia / Landry Comic Book
« on: June 10, 2012, 07:47:20 pm »
I know this subject came up on the old message board, but now I have one of the Landry comic books.  Does anyone have an idea what it is worth?  Was there more than one comic book with the Dallas Cowboys in the subject matter?

Cards / Press Pass Does Not Like O-Linemen
« on: April 29, 2012, 01:13:51 pm »
I have two checklists for 2012 Press Pass:

Press Pass Rookie Football
Press Pass FanFare Football Autograph

The strange thing about Press Pass this year, besides not having Morris Claiborne cards, is there are no cards for O-Linemen at all.  I've never thought to look in the past, does anyone know if this is the usual policy of Press Pass?
