This brand is only 3 years old but usually features a good mix of retired stars along with new Rookies. I have not seen a checklist yet to see if there are any Cowboys in this brand but I suspect there may be a few.
Sage Squared (July 23, 2008)
This is a new brand from Sage and features only 84 base cards, mostly Rookies. The Cowboys should get a few cards from this brand. We should have a checklist soon.
Upper Deck (July 30, 2008)
Upper Deck never fails to impress with their base set. Expect around 6 veterans and 4 Rookies in this team set.

Training camp begins this week for the Cowboys in Oxnard, California. The Cowboys have been swapping between a Texas site and California site for a few years now. Here is the current Training Camp schedule:

4. Web Site news
Cowboycards.com experienced 2 prolonged site outages earlier this month. I have not had any major down time in a few years so I guess I was due! The first issue had to do with a corrupt file that was keeping my database from being queried. The second issue was a direct result of the first issue. We moved cowboycards.com to another server after the first crash and then a few days later, my domain pointer moved to a different location on the new server. Needless to say, it was exasperating getting things working again. Hopefully, we wont have another outage for another couple of years!
I am constantly adding cards, sets and players to my ever growing database. Here are the current stats from my database:
493 - players listed
8,231 - sets listed including 420 sets for 2008 already including all the parallels, inserts, autographed and relic sets.
33,001 - cards listed including over 5,500 card pictures!
I have completed the 2007 Dallas Cowboys checklist so if you want a FREE copy of it just shoot me an email. 5. Investing in Cowboy Cards
I have recently began accumulating graded examples of Dallas Cowboy cards. I really love the look and feel of these cards when they are entombed in these graded capsules. I have been accumulating PSA 7s - PSA 9s. I find that this range provides excellent quality cards but at bargain prices especially when you consider the PSA 10 prices. I reported on this section in the January newsletter. I have continued to collect data and you can start to see a pattern of prices especially for cards that appear more often like the 1989 Aikman and Irvin Rookies as well as the 1990 Emmitt Smith Rookies. Book mark this page and check back often, I think it will become a great resource of Dallas Cowboys HOF Rookie card data.

6. Cowboycards.com neglected areas.
The message boards have lost a lot of pizzazz simply because we have a lack of visitors. The few visitors that do visit have tons of Cowboy cards knowledge and share that information readily. I invite you to stop in and check out what some of the hard core Cowboy card collectors are talking about. I started a blog about cowboycards.com a few months back and have slowly began to add updates to it. I lost a few weeks after the crash earlier this month but will continue to add new relevant information about Cowboy cards.
