1. Product release calendar.

The following lists the football card products scheduled to be released in the next 2 months. The release dates have a tendency to change and I will not get cards in stock until days if not weeks after the initial release. I expect to have plenty of these cards in stock soon after their release date.

5th Fleer Ultra
With 200 base cards, the Cowboys should have 5 or 6 veterans and a rookie or 2 in this release.

2. Hobby News

'The Card' (book) hits the market.
This book has raised many eyebrows about vintage baseball card collecting.

Upper Deck is reaching out to hobby shop owner. (story)
Promising better communications and more detail about upcoming releases. Not sure I would want to be a hobby shop owner in this new (ebay) market. If you get a chance, make sure you visit and support these hobby shops.

Topps sale to Eisner group not finalized yet. (story)
There appears to be much unrest at Topps, this story may get even more heated.

3. Dallas Cowboys News

TO is getting his 3 million roster bonus. (story)
No surprise here, Jerry said all along he expected TO back. I am for it but very leery. If the Cowboys get off to a slow start and Romo struggles, expect TO to toss his butt under the bus quickly.

Former Cowboy Mel Renfro facing challenging health issues due to concussion. (story)
This makes me worry about Staubach and Aikman (among others), who both suffered numerous concussions during their playing years.

Mark Cuban of the Dallas Mavericks contemplating a new Pro Football league to rival the NFL. (story)
Mark, this has been tried 3 times (unsuccessfully) over the past 30 years, don't bother.

New Cowboys Stadium will Host the 2011 Super Bowl. (story)
There go the Cowboys Super Bowl chances in 4 years. No team has ever made it to a Super Bowl hosted in its own Stadium.

TO disses Parcells, admires new HC Wade Phillips. (story)
Was this a surprise announcement?

Roy Williams at LB in 2007? (story)
I will believe it when I see it but if HC Wade Phillips is anything, it's a defensive guru.

1972 Topps Roger Staubach Rookie (PSA 9) sell for over 3k on ebay (auction).
Time to take a long hard look at those Staubach Rookies you have in stock and contemplate sending them to ebay!

Julius Jones like the new coach: says he felt like he was running like a robot under Parcells (story).
He looked to me like he was running like a robot sometime last year. I was optimistic though after the playoff game in which he appeared to be his old self.
