Jim Jeffcoat, DE from Arizona State University, was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the 1st round (23rd overall) of the 1983 NFL Draft. Jeffcoat became the Cowboys defensive leader by his 2nd season recording 11.5 sacks in 1984. Jim played for the Cowboys for 12 seasons and went through the lean years of the late 80s with the Cowboys. Jim was still a dominant force in the Cowboys lineup when they turned the corner in the early 90s and he was a member of the '92 and '93 Super Bowl Championship teams. At the end of the 1995 season, Jim signed with the Buffalo Bills but he left as the Cowboys all time leading QB sacker with 94. He also scored 4 touchdowns, 2 on interceptions and 2 on fumble returns. After 3 seasons in Buffalo, Jim retired. Jim played in the NFL for 15 seasons and 227 games. He recorded a hefty 102 QB sacks during his playing days.
