Robert Awalt was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1987 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals. Rob came to the NFL from San Diego State as Tight End. He had career highs his rookie season in 1987 with 42 catches, 526 yards and 6 TDs in route to the UPI NFL-NFC Rookie of the Year award. In 1990 he was traded to the Dallas Cowboys and spent 2 seasons in Dallas. He finished his career with 2 seasons in Buffalo. Rob played 7 seasons in the NFL, catching 138 Passes for 1583 yards and 10 TDs.
