Woodrow Dantzler Dallas Cowboy football cards
Woodrow Dantzler, QB from the University of Clemson, was signed by the Dallas Cowboys as a rookie free agent in the spring of 2002. In 2001 Dantzler became the first player in NCAA history to pass for more than 2000 yards and rush for more than 1000 yards in a single season when he ended the year with 2360 yards passing and 1004 yards rushing. Woody played special teams for the Cowboys in 2002 but struggled to find a position on the regular roster. He was cut by the Cowboys before the 2003 season began and signed with the Falcons and played in Atlanta for 8 games. He returned to the Cowboys in 2004 but was sent to overseas to learn to play safety in the NFL Europe league. After NFL Europe, Woody signed with the Chicago Rush to play in the AFL.
